Okay, this is an age old question(no pun intended)!I think that as long as you both agree to love one another the age factor should NOT be a factor! If i were in love with someone older(i am almost 33 and have been)I would do anything to be with that person.Age should not be a hindrance.I once had a relationship with someone 26 years older than myself, unfortunately it did not work out,but it was great while it lasted.Enjoy the moment.
However........
are you sure there is no chance of her getting back together with her ex?How about you with your ex?These are valid questions that need to be answered.
As for a long happy life, you sound like your healthy and I assume she is.Just continue to take good care of yourselves.
Good Luck~

Want an honest answer? I am nearly the same age as you and I can understand that you need a partner. The age difference is okay now, but when she is 50 (nice age for a woman), she will be stuck with an old man. So, do not only think about yourself, but also what her future would look like. Age is a terrible thing. At 70 your active lifestyle will be gone, and her's would have started. Just one comment. The 2 of you are great friends now. Isn't it perhaps true that your baggage fell in love with her baggage?

Been there done that. You are dreaming. Mine was the exact same age spread. Now I am 59 she is just 40. When I am 70 she would be just 51. Too much to overcome. Get with someone closer to you. You won't regret it.

Age does not matter. It is the way you treat each other that matters. If you were meant to be together, real love will conquer any age difference. Good luck.

I think that if the two of you want to make it work, then the age should not be a limitation. Go with it, have fun with it, and make it happen!!

The age difference is not that great, nor is such a relationship unusual.
