There are many problems with the salvation-by works doctrine of reincarnation. First, there are many practical problems. For example:
1. We must ask, why does one get punished for something he or she cannot remember having done in a previous life?
2. If the purpose of karma is to rid humanity of its selfish desires, then why hasn't there been a noticeable improvement in human nature after all the millennia of reincarnations?
3. If reincarnation and the law of karma are so beneficial on a practical level, then how do advocates of this doctrine explain the immense and ever-worsening social and economic problems - including widespread poverty, starvation, disease, and horrible suffering - in India, where reincarnation has been systematically taught through out its history?
There are also many biblical problems with believing in reincarnation. For example, in 2 Corinthians 5:8 the apostle Paul states, "We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord." At death, the, the Christian immediately goes into the presence of the Lord, not into another body. In keeping with this. Luke 16:19-31 tells us that unbelievers at death go to a place of suffering, not into another body.
Further, Hebrews 9:27 assures us that "man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment." Each human being LIVES ONCE as a mortal on earth, DIES ONCE, and then FACES JUDGMENT. He does not have a second chance by reincarnating into another body.

That's a good question.
I don't know what choice I will make this time.....obviously last time I chose re-incarnation.
To fully merge with the light is a conscious choice....but I think most souls tend to want to return and try again to help the souls that are in human form....especially their closest kindred spirits.
We love each other....we often choose to come back and help each other.

The "light" that you read about in "life after death" experiences is the light that would be similar to our sunlight... it is the light that illuminates the other side of this dimension of earth. There is a full reality on the other side, it is similar to our earth. There are our relatives, friends, and loved ones waiting for us... and they greet us and welcome us. It has been stated by people who have experienced this event, that some meet Jesus, who radiates a light from his body, and he welcomes the person to that side of existence. Some are given the choice to return back to life on this earth, or to stay and begin their existence in the new dimension on the other side. When you cross over, you retain your personality, emotions, personal identity as these elements are the make-up of your eternal soul. You also keep your FREE WILL... that is NEVER taken from you, no matter on what dimension you are on. That is one area that God does not interfere with... your Free Will is totally yours. The choices are yours... on this dimension and all the ones to follow. Hope this helps... good luck!

Are you serious???
You barely get to choose your own life. You think you can just take a pick and decide???
This is no moving to another state and doing some research.
To be honest, don't worry that much. You won't feel a thing.
Next thing we know... We are gone...
Live, enjoy every minute, that is the best choice, for there's nothing else...

It is very difficult question. Honestly this questions is to hard to answer after sitting here and thinking about it. I think I would have to wait until the time came as it will be based on all my life's experience really. I hope when any of us merge with the light we are ready. I think if fate would have it we will come back until we are ready.

I figure I'll shop around, see if there are any good reincarnations available. Might be nice to be a tree for a couple hundred years.
