which requires him/her to ask forgiveness of the debt if unable to pay what do you think would be the repercussions, if any to the party who continues to pursue this in a court of law? The Bible says we must follow the laws of the land but what if God's laws, which in MY eyes are higher than the laws of the land, conflict with the laws of the land? "Forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors..."

What should be the stance of the Christian party continually taken to court for no reason other than revenge and a greedy heart?

and...What do you think would be the repercussions on the party who continues to pursue the matter in court?

Fellow Christians please answer. Your wisdom is very valuable to me. Thanks in advance.

My thanks for your email (details confidential). Your situation is very difficult. You have a duty towards the fellowship, but equally they have a duty towards you. You have a duty towards everyone in the fellowship, and they all have a duty towards you. If a person within the fellowship is dishonest towards you, say an ex husband manages by shicanery to deny your legal right to legal representation as a parent during a child custody hearing, then that person is not just cheating you, they are cheating the whole fellowship. If a criminal has to have legal representation before a court case can proceed, then why is it acceptable for a mother to be deliberately denied by a Christian what she is legally entitled to?
While St Paul didn't like Christians taking Christians to court, he certainly expected Christians to treat each other honestly and fairly.
All I can suggest is when you go to Church, go to a different service than which the person who is hurting you goes to. Make sure the Pastor / Minister is aware of your situation.
I don't know why, but St Paul asks us to pray for our enemies to receive a blessing. Could you have a go doing this? If you can't stomach the thought, then I can quite understand that.

I am very very sorry that I'm not able to offer you better advise.

The Bible says:

1Cr 6:1 ¶ Dare any of you, having a matter against another, go to law before the unjust, and not before the saints?

1Cr 6:2 Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?

1Cr 6:3 Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?

1Cr 6:4 If then ye have judgments of things pertaining to this life, set them to judge who are least esteemed in the church.

1Cr 6:5 I speak to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you? no, not one that shall be able to judge between his brethren?

1Cr 6:6 But brother goeth to law with brother, and that before the unbelievers.

1Cr 6:7 Now therefore there is utterly a fault among you, because ye go to law one with another. Why do ye not rather take wrong? why do ye not rather [suffer yourselves to] be defrauded?

FYI: SAINTS are Christians.
