anyone know of some not so popular nymph patterns that catch alot of fish but arn't over used?

Over used? knowing that is tuff. I have some old fly tying books that I keep to look at older patterns and adapt a little for what I need. I got one from Ebay, and I know that I've seen others there. You can always experiment and make your own pattern. That way you know its not over used. Feels really good hooking one on your own patterns too!! (specially when everyone around you is coming up dry!)

Ok, here's a couple.

Bloody Mary is one

And here's a blast from the past: Muskrat nymph - used to be very popular 30 years ago, nowadays the're rarely used and still effective.

Another old yet still very productive pattern is the Butcher fly.

One nymph that is rarely used in Northern climes is
the Tellico, a tried and true pattern

Of course since my handle is Pheasant tail, I vary the methods
of tieing them, using a peacock hurl body , or use flashy dubbing.

I don't see a lot of people fishing brassies but I catch a lot of fish with them.
