You don't have to cut the over all length to layer it.

If you layer it, it'll probably go shorter a good 3-4 inches, This will make it sort of short, about just to your shoulders or an inch before. I suggest you grow out your hair some more.

I would layer it but ask them to keep the last layer at the length of your current hair

I would ask for long layers that way your shortest layer wouldn't be any shorter than chin length. Your longest layer they can keep the length it is now. Just tell them not to loose the length.

You can get it layered without losing length. Just tell the stylist where you want the longest layer to be and everything else will be above it.

it depends on how daring you want to be!! Sometimes u have got to take chances...ive had my hair that length and gotten it layered before and it was really pretty...if you do there's alot of cute ways to fix it too..one way u could use a small curling iron about 3/4inch and flip it out try using a product called "pump it up" its a very strong freezing spritz

here is the thing layering your hair no matter how short or long it is makes it look shorter so it will make you hair look really short since it already is so i wouldn't take the chance if i was you unless you like your hair really short.

Yes,itmight become too short unless you tell your beautician to keep the longest layer to the present length.
