I know its tradition for the guy to propose, but is it strange for a girl to pop the question?

Its 2007 , tradition changes. Its OK for a girl to propose to guy. It doesn't really matter who does it. Just remember maybe you should watch the friends episode where Monica propose but she crys through the whole thing.

No way. Go for it. I think a guy would find that extremely flattered if his girl proposed and he had an engagement ring. I had a friend who did that and he said that was one of the reasons that he definately wanted to marry his girl. Good luck!!!

Not THAT weird. I think I would be waiting for my girlfriend to at least mention it before I would consider asking, but I would prefer to ask on my own. But either way, if the relationship is ready for it (you've been together for at least two years and you love and trust each other), I think it would work out just fine. If you want to marry a guy, definitely mention marriage at the appropriate time to give him the hint. Good night!

To me it is weird because that seems like a guy kinda thing to do, but it would seem unique for a woman to propose to a guy though.

Heck no! I proposed to my husband 3 years ago because I knew he wanted to but was too much of a weeny to do it! I also knew he wouldn't pick the right engagement ring. If marriage is what you want, go for it! Why put your future in someone else's hands?

nope times are changing. girls are doing alot of things that guys do. my mom proposed to my dad. they were sitting in a car and out of no where she was just like "wanna get married" and he said sure... and now they are... and have been for 25 years. i think it is awesome that girls might start to do that

i used to be honestly considering this the opposite day too. i used to be pondering what if a lady proposed to a person?? that might be soooo bizarre. like a lady on one knee and the husband like OMG!!! i simply are not able to even assume that

No, my wife proposed to me...sort of...
On my 27th b'day...She was 17....
She gave me an engraved antique gold pocket watch..
My name & her name....Her name with my surname ...Mr. & Mrs..
I took the hint & proposed about 3 minutes later...
We were married about 6 months later after her 18th b'day...
We were married for 15 yrs. until she was killled in a car wreck
a few years ago...I have not re-married...

My mom popped the question to my dad, but according to my aunt she was pretty drunk at the time and partially nude....so who knows.
