Okay, let me try to break this down. God= the father. From himself he created jesus=the son. When Jesus died and rose again his spirit=the holy spirit is what we feel today when we feel the presence of the lord. When you feel God presence people call it the Holy Ghost.

The Holy Ghost or Holy Spirit is a person. He is a member of the Godhead. There is God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Ghost. They are 3 separate people. The Holy Spirit does not have a body yet and his job is to testify to you when something is right or true.

The Father, The Son, and The Holy Ghost (aka The Holy Spirit), are known as The Trinity. Christians believe that The Holy Ghost is a form of God. They believe that he is the One that guides a person to correctly interpret the Word of God, and who helps each person reach new levels of understanding. The Holy Ghost knows each person perfectly and understands that each person thinks differently. They believe that the Ghost dwells in each person, and guides them to God.

To claim that the Father, Son, and holy spirit share the same name and are therefore part of a Trinity because Matthew 28:19 only mentions "name" once in the singular is a subjective claim. It is also based on circular reasoning. It is circular reasoning because it is first assumed that the Trinity is true, and then Matthew 28:19 is interpreted in that light and offered as a "proof text," when it is in no way the only interpretation. It is a subjective claim because, again, it is from the viewpoint of someone who already believes in the Trinity, so they are more likely to ignore the fact that Koine Greek often dropped out repeated words. So, this could be the author's intended meaning: "Baptizing them in the name of the Father and [in the name] of the Son and [in the name] of the holy spirit." But the words in brackets would be dropped out for brevity. For example, 1 John 4:2-3 - "Every inspired expression that confesses Jesus Christ as having come in the flesh originates with God, but every inspired expression that does not confess Jesus [as having come in the flesh] does not originate with God." The repeated words are dropped out, but the meaning of the author is understood.

Holy Ghost for what I understand is like the spirit of God. On wikipedia I believe they have a few definitions per sect of Christianity. Now for what I read and hold truth to is that the Holy Ghost is to communicate with you in ways for you to understand deeper understandings of the divine.

The Holy Ghost is our Comforter and Helper to help us to get through in this world and make it to heaven. His purpose is to help us find out what is God's busines and what is on God's mind. Jesus told the disciples that he had to leave or the holy ghost would not come in John 16:5-9. It came on the day of Pentacost in the upper room.

What is the significance of baptism ‘in the name of the holy spirit’? This indicates that the baptismal candidates recognize that the holy spirit is Jehovah’s active force, used in various ways in harmony with his purpose. (Genesis 1:2; 2 Samuel 23:1, 2; 2 Peter 1:21) Those qualifying for baptism acknowledge that the holy spirit helps them to understand “the deep things of God,” to carry on the Kingdom-preaching work, and to display the spirit’s fruitage of “love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faith, mildness, self-control.”—1 Corinthians 2:10; Galatians 5:22, 23; Joel 2:28, 29.

The Holy Ghost descended at Penetcost shortly after Jesus ascended into heaven (the story's at the beginning of Acts) and acts as the part of God that is present on earth now. From what I've learned, the Holy Ghost's job is to take our prayers before Jesus, where he intercedes with God on our behalf.
