My husband has a 4 yr old daughter who has no idea he is her father.Just that person who used to visit her at the mall.Yes when he finally was able to contact her it was very close to 1 yrs old, they went to court and he got 4 hrs every other weekend meeting her and her mother at a mall. It would be that way intill she was comforable alone with him well it ended up to go on for almost a year because the mother rufused to let him have a relationship with her.He let her run the whole thing which was his first mistake he really did think it was for the best to give her way so there was no tention....well then the bomb shell he went away for training for the army talking it over with his ex she agreed when he came home it would start up again well wrong it did'nt.he then right after training moved to 30hrs away and 2 months later was deployed she refused to take calls or send him any pic of his daughter.he is comming home soon and wants to see her,,,,she only knows the bf as her daddy...

Since he is in the military, he can make an appointment at the JAG office and they can help him with his situation. It seems that he needs to take her back to court in order to establish the visitation again.

it never to late to have a relationship with the child, she still at
the age that she may be confused, but as time go by she will
see him as the father that she has never know. he has a right
to be in her life, so time to get a lawyer and see about doing what
is right for everyone involved.
