i wouldnt use any human products on animals. she could have an allergic reaction. i dont mean to scare you, but its probally best to use something else thats meant for cats. with the matts of hair, dont try brushing them out, its easiest to cut the matts out of the hair. if she's difficult to bathe or brush, have somebody help you. after the matts are gone, there is a spray that you can use before brushing your cat to make her hair smooth and manageable. (like using conditioner on our hair!). brush her hair at least once a day. if she dosent like to be brushed, be consistent with it and she'll get used to it. and if you like you can take her to a groomer to have her fur trimmed once in a while, or if she's comfortable with you doing it, just do it yourself. my cat has long hair, and had lots of matts when i found him. i do have to keep his fur trimmed, or it tends to get matty again. good luck with your kitty!

I would ask a groomer but I wouldn't think so, especially since so many of them contain alcohol. Cats groom themselves so well that they will lick off whatever you put on them and can get sick (or poisoned) from the product. If you need to, have the cat shaved and start over with the cat's coat. Some cats hate to be groomed and prefer to be shaved (my daughter's Persian!). You can also reward the cat for letting you brush it if he hates being brushed. I would call a groomer and ask for advice.

No.
It also won't work.
Take her to a groomer and have the mats shaved out. It's the easiest, safest way. Detangling agents cannot remove mats from cat hair, and it will probably poison her. Safe for kids just means it's tearless, not non-toxic.

Do not spray your cat. For those who had been to spray frebreeze instantly into your nostrils, i assurance you would burn the within of your nose and do some severe harm. (DONT are attempting it.) in the event you spray your cat, he'll be surrounded by the scent, and it will basically be the equal factor as just spraying it directly up his nostril. Its like being beside a lady with means too much perfume, it harms your nostril just being beside her. If your cat smells, wash it. If that doesnt work, take it to a vet.

I wouldn't use anything that is made for humans on cats because they lick themselves when grooming and this could be poisonous. The best thing for hair mats is to have a groomer cut them out carefully and then show you how to maintain the mats or have kitty shaved into a lion cut to help her grow out the hair and then brush regularly.

You can get detangling spray for pets at Wal-Mart -- better to spend a few dollars for the proper stuff than hundreds on Vet bills when it gets sick from human products.

I'm guessing probably not, she will lick her fur, kids don't. Try to find a cat-safe grooming spray at the pet store.

Not a good idea to use any human products on cats. You'd better cut the mats out.

no human product is safe for animals. their skin is far different than ours. they sell detangler for cats at the groomers and pet supply stores.

Try baby powder rather than spray... if that doesn't work you might have to take her to a groomer or your vet.

Good luck
