The same reasons Christians are attached to their religion and look on others as sinners. Because that is their belief, that is what they were taught, that is what their parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, society believed and were taught. Some of them question it. Some do not. Same as with the Christians (and, I'm sure, many other religions--especially those that claim there can only be One Right Answer).

They would react, upon learning Muhammad was wrong, the same way I imagine Christians would react if they learned that Jesus was wrong. And they're just as likely to insist that this would never happen, and why shouldn't they?

In all kinds of wars many innocent people die. There is one thing I believe and that is Jesus will be on the right hand of God on the Day of Judgement. I am not sure how you feel about that.

Why Muslim are so much attached to their religion? Well, they do not consider Islam as a religion as other do about their religion. It is considered a way of life, acting and living it 24 hours of the day. The message is simple and there is nothing confusing, unreasonable or illogical in the faith that they have to accept. So, it is their daily life rather than calling it an attachment to religion.
