I just had an e-mail from this so called Christian telling me that God does not give dreams and visions anymore. That is crap. Did she not read that in the last days(Which we live) God said your young men shall dream dreams and your old men shall see visions and your sons and daughters shall prophecy. She also said there is no such thing is Hell and that God will not punish the wicked for all eternity. That again is crap. She also said the story of the rich man and Larareth is a prabel not a try story. That again is crap. She must be a Jehovahs witness, because they believe the same crap she believes. Then she goes and asks me, Are you living for God? What a rude hypocrite. I cannot stand some Christians. So Christians(nice ones if any on here) how do you handle other Christians, that are blind. I cannot stand them. I would rather speak to an atheist.

Wow. Why are you so upset? You keep calling this person a so called Christian. Do you know their relationship with God? You sure are doing a lot of judging on here, not to mention a lot of bad mouthing. Does this person know of your question that you have posted on here about him? It is ok to have difference of opinions, that how some learn. Gossip is not very nice and not God's way.
I am a young bible student and I have been studying the word hell in the greek and hebrew. The problem understanding this is the translators used one word to describe three different things. I do not believe in hell, because the word hell means A covered hole or man's grave.
If you have ranted your rant on here to get support so people will think this other persons crazy you will get it because most people will not take the time to study the word hell on their own.
As for dreams and visions, I will not comment on because we are just starting to study on this topic.
One more thing. I am not a JW, but I believe their is no hell with eternal suffering.Did you even bother to ask this person what denomination he was? And be careful who you call hypocrite, because no one is perfect.

well, I just try to reach them to what has been proven to be the truth and makes perfect sense,,keep in mind the bible also says that the Biblical understanding is pretty much a SECRET , that only God can reveal. Some have not had those revealings because God grows us all differently, and as we begin to understand more and more of what we are reading, we are to share it with them.
Here is what i would do. Show her what she said, send here a verse that clearly proves shes wrong, the more verses that you use to prove the same thing, the easier for the Holy Spirit to convince. Also the words forever and ever until they are stubble,,clearly says,,they burn up and become stubble. It is not everlasting punishment the way we use the word forever today. It means until they are gone.
Ac 2:17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: THIS HAS happened to several people that I know...it is also in the old testament,,Joel 2:28 ,29

You Christians have been living in the last days for hundreds of years. What makes your belief any better than this other persons? Is it because your belief of a hell or dreams and having visions the more popular way to go? I'm sure this person is just as much every bit as dedicated to their faith as you, but I am having trouble seeing where your Christian love is.

You can't stand other Christians? If my remembrance serves me right, didn't your jesus keep company with the sinners and teach to them? Did not your jesus have compassion? Oh well.

Atheist here, and this is one reason I am what I am. Believers of one god can't even see I to eye on anything.

Always ask someone if they are sincere when speaking with them about religion. I can sometimes even be in a little bit of a sarcastic mood, and that is not a good time to have a religious discussion. Set the tone and expecation of your conversation and if it doesn't meet your expectations or stay within a respectful tone, end the conversation by changing the subject.

It never ends. I guess we will all see the truth of things when we are ready. As far as dreams, visions etc I think the holy ghost is said to communicate with us to understand in ANY way per person to understand. I would only assume this could come in any form including dreams and visions. When I was learning I had many a dreams and gained understanding like I never knew.

That is a mis quoting of Joel chapter 2. Read Acts chapter 2 and you will find that Peter said that why they did was the fulfilling of Joel chapter 2.

anyone claiming this gift today is not aware of what scripture teaches. Hebrews chapter one verse one says that in these last days God spoke to us through his son. PERIOD.

Jesus said it best. You Traver's land and sea to make one single convert and when you do you make him twice as much a son of Hell as yourself. Again, They shall have a form of godliness but deny its power. When somebody can take a parable that is so straight forward as the rich man who says his lips are burning in the eternal fire and asks for his fingers dipped in the water and touch his lips, that's pretty easy to understand, My opinion is that person your talking about is in such denial she could be dangerous

I remember that I don't know everything ("The secret things belong to the LORD our God..." Deut. 29:29a), so I do NOT have the right to force MY Judgment, but to reflect God's.

I remember that I need to get my facts straight before I confront them...and then give them a chance (courteously!) to state their case (even if they are wrong, they are worthy of consideration).

I remember that I must state both the facts and my opinions - and also be careful to separate both.

I remember that my Lord Jesus Christ said, "...you shall love your neighbor as yourself" (Matthew 22:39) - and that this is NOT optional...

And since I must remember to deal with individuals AS individuals, I'll have to conclude be saying I'd need more info on the particular case to talk further.

MOST christians...not all. A few of my good friends are the very moderate christians who believe everything science has to offer accept 1 minor detail....and believe you me I'm slowly working on that. Trying my hardest not to offend them while doing it. But I again am very lucky that they are intelligent and realize we aren't here to debate their religious views but to discuss and listen. Very rare indeed.

Really, what is the purpose of your rant? Are you a true believer? Then get on your knees and pray for this person. Obviously reason isn't going to work. Give it to God and get a life.
