No, there wasn't a need nor a requirement for one. Before they put the F-35's in service they rely on other aircrafts such as the E-2C Hawkeyes to do the "stealth" job for other Naval aircrafts such as the F-14's (Tomcats, which are all decomissioned by the way) and the F-18's (Hornets) and many more....

Officially, no. The A-12 was proposed, and it was supposed to be stealthy, but never even made it to prototype stage.

No they did not. There wasn't a requirement for one, as far as Naval leadership was concerned.
