Is this unprofessional? For example, I have a gentleman who has given me tutoring lessons, and he's always asking me if I would like to sign up for more, but I told him I was going through financail difficualty and couldn't so he offered free sessions, but I never took advantage but what was weird was the fact that he txt messaged me last night at 12:00 midnight asking me if I wanted to sign up for more tutoring sessions and I told him I didn;t know, and he was like well let me know when you have an hour free...Does anyone thinks thats sort of weird..? And what do you think his agenda might be?

He may be trying it on with you....

But then, he may feel bad for your situation. Maybe the text message came through later than he sent it, maybe he thought of it late at night. Who knows.

Just tell him no thank you, that you appreciate the offer but that you're a proud person who doesn't take handouts- this way, he understands all you are thinking of is the actual tutoring session and nothing more.

If he persists, maybe consider having a word with his supervisor.

Hmm...it does seem that he has a little more than tutoring on his mind. Especially texting you at midnight.

He might like you. He might be trying to make something romantic happen between you two during your sessions. Or he could be taking pity on you. I personally think that it is the former.

If he is making you uncomfortable, then you NEED to nip it in the bud right now. Things can get out of control very quickly in situations like that. Just be careful.

um a little bit, i don't think its professional that hes text u all hours of the night asking u for more lessons, i don't know you have to use your judgment does he seem like hes trying to push you in to something other than the sessions, if so and just think about this personality do you want to continue to have sessions, or you could at least tell hI'm to back off a little ...well maybe not in those harshness of words but you get what im saying. But in the end do you want to continue?

Does not sound good....sounds like he may be a stalker. Tell him that you are not interested in any further tutoring lessons and that if he does stop asking you, you may file a restraining order against him. That should get him off of your back. It is unreasonable for him to text you at midnight for any reason.

It does seem unprofessional, as well as creepy.
A tutor should not be contacting you via text messaging at midnight.
Discontinue contact with this person.
Find yourself a new tutor if you really need one.

I think his agenda is to tutor you. The question is what does he want to teach you and are you willing to hear it? If not there are stalking laws in most states, find out what yours are and end the madness.

It is unprofessional, being pushy with someone like this. It is also probably true that he is attracted to you. Probably, but not definitely. It could just be that he is pushy, or that he wants to spend more time with you for other reasons.

This sounds like sexual harrassment to me. If he is any kind of licensed tutor, you should launch a complaint against him.
