Why do we save money? What would happen if no one ever saved any of their money?

People have things they NEED, and things they WANT (but don't NEED). If nobody saved money, they wouldn't be able to get the things they WANTED but DIDN'T NEED - the new Britney Spears or Justin Timberlake CDs for example.

Think you are living in an East European country.You wouldn't be able to pay your bills and survey. As a teacher with master degree you get around 180 euro/month. Just imagine!

Nobody would ever be able to retire or buy anything expensive without credit.
