IVE GOT a LOGITECH X530 speakers.. and i guess this is the best speakers ive owned.... it has 5 speakers.... and it has a subwoofer... so 6 in total... and i got it like under $90... BRAND NEW!!! but i dunno... just a suggestion...

There's the 2-piece speaker from Bose for PC that's under 100 bucks. I heard that it was pretty nice.
There's also the Sony 5.1 speaker for about 150 bucks. Don't have the model # since I threw away the box, but you can probably find it on Amazon or the Sony website.

I've got the Harman Kardon Soundsticks 11 speakers. It's a 2.1 system and I paid seventy something dollars for it on EBay (Harman Kardon store). They were the best sounding speakers at a Comp USA store where the price was $169.

I have an Altec Lansing set along with a subwoofer and it makes the desk shake! I got it at Wal-Mart for around 30 bucks.
