Not necessarily. Wouldn't you want to spend every possible minute with those you love and make sure they know that you love them? This saying is meant to remind everyone that you only have a short time so make every day count.

It could be very destructive! The idea is to abstain from destructive behaviors and live each day to its fullest; the choice is ours to make- I'm sure that there are many destructive people doing just that- each and every day.

Its more than likely referring to, living loving and learning ... not putting off things that you "dream" of doing one day. Some people wait rather than act because they're too busy. Every day is an opportunity waiting to happen ... make the best of it !!!
