I have a toddler entering the "terrible 2s" and he doesn't seem to obey my orders, I tell him you're grounded your going to the crib, and that seems to be working so far, so after that he behaves better for a while. But I'm moving and can't take the crib, Where or what is the best place to send him to think about what he did? the stairs? a corner? PLEASE HELP!

ahh the 2's.. god help you haha.
Seriously, a small pillow put in the corner for time outs will be fine. Remember, no toys, ect while in time out. Its to be a punishment. be firm, dont give in to crying pleading, ect. When time out is over, tell him/her "time out is over. lets try to be good" give hugs and kisses afterwards so they will know you still love them

A two year old cannot comprehend "you're grounded". Grounded from what? The crib is the last place you want to be a naughty place or time out since that is the comfort zone for sleep.
Anyplace works if you are firm and consistent. Have you ever watched the TV show with the British Nanny? Her advice is right on target. For a two year old the time out should only be 2 minutes. You take the child to the "spot" (a place where there are no toys or other distractions) only for naughty time. Kneel down to the child's level and explain in a short version why they are there. Then the child sits (one minute per year of age) and when the time is up, ask the child why you were upset with him. If he doesn't know or has not been quiet for the two minutes, make him sit for another minute and repeat the process until he gets it right. Do not yell, do not spank, just be firm and consistent. Time and your patience will win out.

My parents used to lock me in the closet if I acted badly. Just turn out the light and don't let them know your still in the house.
