i'm answering your questions in order
neither, both are overated, and suck
the try a brand called Image Dynamics. there subs go lower then you can hear, but that doesnt mean you cant feel it.
again, you wont like eitehr
ported will be louder, but not as deep. it will also sound a more sloppy in a ported box. if you listen to rap go ported. if you listen to rock go sealed.

Well I've had a kicker cvr 15" and a type r 12" and I personally liked the 15" a little more than the 12". Now im not saying get a 15'' im just saying that I prefered the kicker but alpine type r's would still be a great choice. So either 1 but i lean towards kicker.

Ported box will give you deeper bass, but the boxes are much larger and take up more room. Try to find a store with both types of speakers so you can hear the difference.

well im a car audio dealer for Planet audio and Visonic which barely no one use because they rather have top of the line brands. I would go with the 2 or 3 tens type r in a sealed box because u get the thump u want.

The alpine type r for sure. the type r, althought smaller, is a monster of a sub and can hit lows like you wouldnt beleive. another thing to consider is the type of music you listen to. 10" subs drive rock music better, and 12" subs drive rap/hip-hp/pop better.

relies upon on what you opt for. in case you opt for quite loud, loopy bass that you to reveal off in public then get the Kicker subwoofers. in case you opt for purifier, extra precise bass which will strengthen the track then get the Alpine subwoofers. The sound you receives will also be counted on the amp you're powering the subs with.
