I've been seeing this for about a month. It all started ever since I set up the Xmas tree and it looked like my cat's were eating the white tree curtain that covers the base of the tree. It's not worms. Just looks as if their poop is covered in cotton. Could this be a fungus or something? Or do I not scoop it often enough?(If this is the problem I will totally start scooping more frequently. However, I own businesses and it is very hard, my fiance hasn't scooped their poop in 7 months. Her help could really be appreciated though. You know how women are with disgusting things, so I took up the chore.)

But could my cats be sick or something. They have all their shots. Last time they went was back in November. I have to toxedo cats. 7 months old.

That's funny. My cat eats plastic and I often notice different colors in her poop. If you're just noticing it now and she ate at Christmas time, you're cleaning the litter WAY to infrequently. It's the most likely the tree curtain you're seeing. My dog used to eat used tissues and she would poop white the next day. Unfortunately, it can be dangerous in animals when they eat something like that, it can cause a blockage. If you have been cleaning the litter box and you're just noticing it now, it was probably stuck somewhere inside and you're lucky she passed it. If you have 2 cats, the litter needs to be cleaned a minimum of every other day. If you're still noticing the "white stuff" in a day or two and you know she's not eating stuff she shouldn't, please contact your vet.

This is what happens when a cat is trying to dislodge a foreign object it has eaten. Some cats will eat anything on the floor. I had a cat that liked curling ribbon on gifts that caused her to go to the vet and cost me about $400. If she managed to get all of it up, she will be fine. If she starts vomiting again she will need to see a vet for the blockage. This not only causes extreme dehydration quickly, but the blockage can be fatal. You will need to be very careful around this cat by keeping everything with string, rubber bands etc put away.

it may just be the same thing as when they cough up hairballs. maybe they're licking themselves and swallowing it, or maybe they got into fake snow or something christmas-y that is in their poop now. If you're genuinely concerned, I'd check with a vet.

I think were talking old poop. I've seen it before. either that or your cat is eating a lot of well fed birds. and that is bird poop you are seeing.
