Find some reasons just to "hang around" her and strike up a conversation. Maybe compliment her on her clothes or hair style and see if she seems to accept the compliment with a smile or by starting to talk with you. You might also try asking some of her friends if they know how she feels about you. Don't be discouraged if you don't get the answer you are expecting, sometimes boy/girl friendships take some time to develop. Just be nice to her and see if something more comes of it over time.

talking to her is an excellent option --- you get to know very quickly if she is interested and you can tell if there is something there as well
