I'm getting my license in a few months and I'm looking for a good, cool car to buy. I'm really interested in a smaller car but sedans are fine too; I just don't want an old-people kinda car. Something cool, like a Pontiac Grand Am maybe. Any suggestions?

Any car you're wishing for BUT! must be a safe car. Is good to have a used car and not sporty at all. Relax, you still have a lot a lot of time for driving. Do it step by step, improve your driving skill and gain some experience then only buy your dream car. One of my good friend just lost his kidney in an car accident. Guess what?! He is driving a Mini Cooper S. I've got fracture at my right leg ankle due to an accident as well. Lucky, still able to walk with a big screw in it but unable to run. Anyway, hope you get what you want :)

This may seem silly, but ANYTHING THAT DRIVES. Unless you are lucky enough to have parents, grandparents or some other benevolent benefactors, your aim for your first car should simply be something that works. The only new cars you can get relatively cheap are Hyundais or Kias; neons and cavaliers are pretty cliche, but their abundance should make them easier to find than most models. Fancy small cars include VW bugs, jettas (zippy little things those are), and mini coopers. Don't forget, however, speeding while driving a grand am, especially a red one, is like wearing a sign that says "PULL ME OVER."

Since this will be your first, Keep all the stress off and just buy what you think you can live with, but make sure you have a descent stereo system (subz preffered),and make sure it doesnt look like its been through an accident. Thats when you'll have a bossy start. Look through the internet, like yahoo auctions, and find a descent car for a descent price from a private seller near you (make sure you negotiate to lower the price).

I would say that a Ford Focus hatchback could be bought cheaply then modified with exhaust, tricked out wheels, upgraded tires and premium sound system. Be sure to get the 5 speed manual so you can put beefed up brakes on the rear so you can practice drifting.

there is not something cool a pair of Neon. I even have an eclipse and a Talon and that i like them. A saab is crap. do not problem, they are additionally gruesome. you will get a 97 Eclipse for purely 1500 non rapid.

depends if you want new or used, and your budget....
for new i would suggest a honda civic. cheap, fuel efficient, stylish
for used (under $5,000?) maybe a nissan sentra. quality made car, runs practically forever, fuel efficient.
personally, i would find a classic 70's muscle car if i had the money, but thats just me... :)

You need a 2000 mercury cougar, special edition with leather,Only 50000 miles on it...then you would be styling! Its yellow with low profile tires for 7000 dollars.

Hello! I'm 21, and my first car was a Mitsubishi Eclipse. It ran good, was good on gas, and I thought it was really cute. It was a 1996 and only cost 6500 also!
