How many neighbors do you have that you wish would just move away because of their pets?

Barking, running loose, not altered, biting, etc....

Class doesn't define level of intelligence Cagney. That was pretty shallow of you, and a little arrogant to say ALL your neighbors are irresponsible, don't you think?

Only one neighbor, the dog howls at least a few nights a week. He just lets it go...We have spoken a few times and it will stop for a few days but, then again she is out all night again howling to get in. I know he works second shift and lets the dog out when he gets home. I think he falls asleep in front of the TV. Very nice person and other than this you couldn't ask for a better neighbor. Always willing to give a hand. Minds his own business, property looks great.......just this

There are a few around me. The one that irritates me the most are the people across the street. A couple years ago, they got a puppy, for the kids no less, and it was constantly running loose. Usually the kids would get into a game of chase to catch the dog. The kids with the dog were NEVER supervised by the parents... just did as they pleased. One day, the dog got loose and the person next door to this family called the shelter to report it. We never saw the puppy again, hopefully he got a better home. Then within a couple of months, they got another puppy, and it's the same thing all over. Ticks me off when the kids let it get loose (they do it on purpose and think it's some kind of game) and it comes to my door to bark at my dogs. These people should not be owning a pet of any kind IMO.

Dogs are one thing.
Cats are completely a different problem.
I don't understand why people think it's OK to let cats run all over peeing and pooping everywhere. Fighting all night when folks are trying to sleep.
It drives me crazy.

To answer your questions about dogs though, I happen to be related to the worst dog owners I know. I was a Vet Tech for a while, and tried my best to teach them, but they think it's silly to spend money on flea and tick prevention. As long as the fleas don't bother my auntie, she doesn't care. Her kids are eaten alive, but she still does nothing.
Don't even talk to her about heartworm prevention. She doesn't believe there is any such thing!!! She thinks it's a scam the vets use to get money. That the vets put random worms in bottles, take pictures of spagetti noodles on a butchered pig's heart and call it a disease!!!
She openly says that the minute the dogs (she has 2) get sick, they are dead, (euthanized). She sees no reason to treat sick dogs. After all, there are more at the pound!!!
The dogs bark all day and all night. Non-stop! It doesn't bother her so she doesn't care. She says the minute her neighbors complain, the dogs will be put down. So far, no one has.
I don't talk to her anymore, or go to her house. The fleas and noise alone is enough to keep most folks away.

I have an irresponsible neighbor with 2 dogs. They bark throughout the day from @ 6:00am - 12:00am. They are left out too long on blustery, cold days. I have wanted to call the authorities. The only thing that stops me? Retaliation to my dog. They have two teen-aged boys and I have found many things thrown in my yard. I have to check it at least once a day as is.

Too many...one time I went for a jog around the block, and as I came up the street I live on, I stepped in the grass, not noticing a large pile of crap. Of course, my shoe was caked in it, but did the responsible owner clean off my shoe? Of course not!
Also, there's a German Shepherd in my neighborhood, and I highly doubt he's neutered, because he wandered all the way into my yard the one day and attacked my dog. When will people learn?

You mean like the neighbor who repeatedly breeds her unregistered Dachshunds? Or the one who chains their Rottie outside 24/7 to a truck camper top? Or the one who's 10 month old Pitt keeps getting loose and tries to play with the only people in the area who are terrified of big dogs?

Nope, no idiots here in my neighborhood!

I live in the country, and some "city folks" moved in (excuse my terms here) but they figure because they live out in the miccle of nowhere they can let their 2 huge great danes run loose. It's a nice gesture to let the dogs have their freedom in this wild side, but it is dangerous, because 1) they chase our livestock, and 2) they totally ticked off my whole family when they killed our dog and 3) they started attacking our donkey viciously. So now anytime they come near our house, my daddy takes aim, and really tries to shoot the sorry ba******. Also, "city folk" believe us "country folk" are good down to earth people that will take any dog in, so they dump their poor dogs on the country roads. Not true. A large stray dog, starving, will begin to attack livestock (horses, cows, sheep) and ruin our lifestyle, and our income, so we just shoot them dead, rather than let them starve to death and kill our animals. We certainly can't take them to the pound, cause they'd die anyway, and we can't take them all in cause then we'd be eatin out of house and home. We once had a neighbor who let his lab run around all the time, and it messed on our porch, ate our dogs food, howled at our back door, and basically lived at our house. we complained then our neighbor claimed that our dog attacked his boy, which couldn't have happened cause she never left our yard.
