First see if you are exempt. Look to see what the exemption is and see if you claimed zero on your W-4 form..Second if you had withholdings from your W-4 form then you might want to go ahead and file to get a refund (if your eligible).
I know I've gotten several free webpages that allows me to do my return online...but it's been a while since I have done it but I used to do it through doing a google search or looking at the IRS website.
Now, since I work in a national elite accounting firm...I just have one of my co-workers file mine using our own software Pfx Tax....we send it directly over to the government ourselves.

You may also look out for an option to work online to make extra cash in your spare time. They make it free for people that make <$50K or so. It makes them "feel good"
