i've fainted a few times and while i can't give a medical answer i can tell you how/what i felt.
just before passing out my head starts to feel a spacy. usually the room around me seems to echo and sound really far away. sometimes i can feel myself falling but most of the time i'm not aware of it. afterwards it's even more bizarre because usually there is someone standing over me to make sure i'm okay but i don't know why. not sure if that makes sense but i hope it helps

when you have a lack of blood and oxygen to the brain you lose consciousness and you faint. Yes the feeling would be very like that of sleeping and you would not be aware of anything. This action could be dangerous if you are driving walking running or operating machinery, because when you faint you lose control over your body and could end up with injury.

You usually wake up and feel a little dizzy and disoriented. Fainting is caused by lack of oxygen to the brain, and you faint because your body shuts down what it believes you do not need in order to stay alive (basically conciousness) and focuses on keeping major organs running.

Everyone responds differently.

AFTER you faint? well when you've fainted generally you're out to it until you 'wake up'.

When you faint usually you dont feel urself fainting it just happens, sometimes though you can feel your head getting too light headed an lose control of your body an just faint (falling over). but when you wake up if u havnet bumped anything on teh way down, you might get a headache, or feel thirsty nothing too serious.
