I've heard it does and i've heard it doesn't. Which is it?

it does..people who smoke pot have a harder time remembering, recalling, and retaining information...yes it does kill brain cells..the longer you do it the more cells it kills..not to mention other vital organs...

YES ! You are young and these idiots telling you it doesn't hurt you are young too. Look at the older people...the hippies of the 60's; The one's that really got into pot have trouble thinking now. Their brain just doesn't work right. Don't listen to these punk kids telling you it doesn't hurt you, they will be the ones on the street corners begging for food or money later on in life !

I believe it's something along the lines of this: your brain needs oxygen, like the rest of your body, to run, smoking pot,. It blocks most of the oxygen from getting to your lungs and therefore, your brain, like smoking, but the chemicals in pot that do reach your brain are poisonous and will kill it.

I don't think it really does because I'm really smart and I smoke alot of pot and I'm doing just fine.

of course it does. In my chemistry class they say it takes one sniff to kill a whole bunch of brain cells and it takes about 10+ years to restore it. You're killing your brain and your body.

Pot and LSD both do not affect you physically.
BUT
as someone once said..

It doesn't cause the death of any nervous system tissue, but certainly makes your brain operate differently while your on it.
