My fiance works from 4:30 PM to 3 AM. He has the weekends off but I would like to know what I could do during the week to make the most of our time together. Guys, if you worked this shift, what would you look forward to when you came home at night? Girls, what do you do for your boyfriends, fiances and husbands to keep things from seeming boring and routine? I guess I'm just looking for some ideas of how to keep things exciting because it's a real drag repeating this same schedule week after week. I usually have a meal prepared for him when he walks in the door but what else could I do? He likes surprises, I'm just out of new material. I'd appreciate any serious input. Thanks.

if he works until 3 am and you have a meal waiting when he gets home at probably 4 am,i'm impressed. i work 10:30 pm to 7 am. it's difficult working shift work but you can make it interesting. while most people would do dinner/movie in the evenings, you could do lunch/matinee. while most people are intimate in the late evening, you could in the early afternoon. while most people people might watch a movie together on tv,you could record last night's tv and replay it in the early afternoon. plan time out and about in the late morning early afternoon like shopping or trips to the beach/mountains/parks. anything you could do to show him that he is appreciated would certainly be appreciated like draw him a pic/paint a painting/make up a poem no matter how corny/sing him a song even if it's out of tune. it's the little things...

you prepare a meal at 3 am?
well, since he doesnt get home till 3 am, he's probably ready for sleep. what time does he get up before his 4:30 pm shift? if he's up early enough, maybe go have lunch together before he goes into work.
on the weekends, make the most of it. go out to dinner. maybe a picnic. a movie. roller skating. bowling. shoot pool.
theres all kinds of things you can do together.

Look in the phone book and find out what is open at that time of night. There may be some interesting places you could check out.
