It's normal to be a little nervous when you have to do something for the first time. Usually after you have done something a few times you become more comfortable because you know what to expect. I can remember getting a very nervous feeling when I was in my early teens. I hated that feeling. So I know what you are talking about. Some very famous singers have said that every time they had to give a live performance they would get so nervous that they would be sick to their stomach. You are just experiencing a lot of different things right now and as you get a little older and have more experiences you will be less and less nervous. So, take some deep breaths and just try to calm yourself down a little.

Sounds like social anxiety. It's pretty common. I used to have real issues with it as well. Some people call it being "shy"... others call it anxiety. You can either talk to a counselor about how to better handle your fears, or you can just tough it out... which is sometimes very hard on the system. I remember my stomach used to feel knotted and I would sweat and my heart would start racing... it sucked. I would avoid things, social activities and dates, etc. because I was so nervous about it all... and that made me end up feeling quite depressed. So, I say it's best to deal with it now.

Don't worry... it's not a big deal. A lot of people feel this way. But, believe me, I completely understand how frustrating is it and how lonely it makes one feel. It can take a serious toll on your self-esteem. Just talk to a counselor. Behavioral therapy... basically making yourself handle the feelings in a different way can really help.

I also bought that DVD course... "Attacking Anxiety and Depression" by Lucinda Bassett and it was a good first step. It provides various techniques that can help you to prevent your body from reacting the way that it does. It helps you to turn your negative and nervous energy into productive and beneficial energy. Here is the link to the site. It's expensive but I found the techniques helpful.

Being nervous is a normal thing for certain situations, such as speaking in front of a group, but if the nervousness interferes with other areas of your life then it could be an anxiety disorder. You should talk to your doctor if it's making things tough on you. He'll probably prescribe an anti-anxiety pill. It's really no big deal (as in seriousness, I'm sure it's a big deal to you) and many people suffer from anxiety.

Your mother is right. Everyone gets nervous. Some show it differently, others may not admit it. You are young. The more experience you get doing these things, the less nervous you'll be. The best thing you can do is bravely face your fears and put yourself in a position to face them again and again. You'll get bored with them eventually!

Promise. Everyone gets nervous. Ther is nothing wrong with you. Now forge ahead!!!

Sounds like normal performance anxiety to me, but you can have control over how much it affects you.

Try facing it by thinking of the worst things that can happen in each situation, and realize that you'll survive each of them. No possible consequence in any of the areas you mentioned is going to be the end of your world.

Something in your mind is telling you that each situation is a matter of life and death. That thing is wrong. Tell it so. Repeatedly. Eventually, you'll stop hearing that inner voice if you remember to contradict it every time.
