I have bad acne but can't afford to see a dermatologist due to no insurance. I have researched several different websites for accutane. I found many sites that seem reliable, but is it really safe? I believe this is illegal due to the fact you can only get it by prescription. I'm so fed up with my acne though that's it's making me severly depressed and I dont' even leave the house. Should I go for it? It's quite expensive...

Doctors need to monitor your blood - specifically your liver functions - you should NOT take it illegally.

You definately want to see a doctor before using Accutane. I took it when I was a teenager and had spectacular results, however there are a lot of side effects. Depression, dry skin, poor eyesight...I'm really not sure I would take it again because of the side effects. You also have to have regular bloodwork because you can destroy your liver otherwise. Also, if you are female you have to go on birth control; Accutane causes SEVERE birth defects.

Do not get accutane without seeing a doctor first. They need to monitor you on it for multiple reasons, depression being a major factor (aside from blood levels). Your acne may make you depressed, but you don't know if you have depression otherwise and acutane can cause suicidal behavior. Try some other treatments but anything needing a prescription should not be used without the advice of a doctor!!

Well, Accutane or another word for it is Roaccutane is quite effective for acne. But its very expensive! It will cost u at least $5-6 per tablet and just think abt it being consume for a few months! Its a long term process. First thing u need to do is, consult a doctor and he/she can know how bad ur acne is and will advise u on what u should take 1st. Personnally, I've tried Roaccutane but stop after that, due to the cost. It is effective but u also have to know how severe ur acne is and how long u need to take the tab. And that doesn't mean ur acne will be gone forever. Maintaining it is important too. I would advise u to consult a doctor 1st.

Accutane is only available by prescription by a dermatologist. You are probably seeing black market products by somebody who is trying to make a fast buck or something.

This is a very powerful drug and should not be purchased illegally. You do not know where it came from. There are many side effects of Accutane including birth defects if you become pregnant, depression, and elevated cholesterol. Unless you are monitored by a health professional I would urge you to re-think this purchase.

I read the main manufacturer is no longer making the drug (due to financial constraints).
If you really want it that bad and there is still adequate Accutane supply, see a dermatologist and get it thru proper legal/medical channels.

Reputable online l retail stores will not require a prescription.

YES!!! get accutane. id reccommend getting it through a doctor though. seriously it works soo good. i used it last year and my face looks good i always get compliments. i mean, every once in a while i'll get a pimple, but its nothing like before. accutane takes a while sometimes to get going but once it starts working its amazing. i loved the results. go for it! the results last waaaay after you finish the pills and its great because your only on the pills for maybe 6 to 8 months then the rest of your life your acne free!!! good luck!
