What did I do wrong?

My new bf calls me everyday so we can talk. Last night when he called me, he was with his friend. So, I told him he should spend time with her, instead of calling me (no jealousy or anything). He really got offended and hung up on me.

In my opinion, when he is spending time with his friends or family, that is the time for them. I think he should've called me when he was available to me. I don't see why he got offended. Anybody have an idea?

Maybe his friend was not that important to him and he got upset when u said he should spend time with her, when he really wanted to talk 2 u.

Maybe he took what you said wrong. Maybe he thought you were jealous and saying it in a rude manner? Who knows? The only way to find out would be to talk to him. Why is he calling you when he's hanging out with a friend? It's not like he can sit there and really chat with you, is it? I would just tell him that you didn't mean to hurt his feelings, and you weren't upset at all... but would rather talk to him on the phone when he doesn't have any distractions or visitors. Tell him you just didn't think it was a good time when he had his friend sitting right there. He should understand... or HE is being immature. Do you think he could be trying to make YOU jealous? Plus, hanging the phone up on someone is extremely immature.

that is a good point..he shouldn't call someone when he is supposed to be spending time with someone else..(been there!)
But maybe he was trying to kinda show you off to his friend in a way, by talking to you in front of her..

He might have thought u were annoyed that he was spending time with his girl friend and thought that u didnt trust him. talk to him about it and explain that u r ok with it
