It's the cheap wires they put on these speakers. I've had the same problem. Best Buy has a great sale now Sub woofer & 2 speakers normally about $50 on sale for 29. Just ordered mine. I'm tired of messing with these old cheap speakers. Go get some new ones they start at 12 bucks for 2 speakers. Good luck

Grab some tools, pull out your head unit and check the wiring.
