...this. Every society that has ever existed and many that still do have a creation myth. Now, please have a look at some of these, they are stories from the religious texts (or oral traditions) of a 3
distinctly different groups:

Japanese Shinto creation myth: (roughly 500 years before christ)

Hindu: (stories from between 1500bc and 7200bc)

Now consider that there are these and many thousands more creation stories around the world, tell me....why is your christian myth the "truth"?

(And I don't wanna hear "Our God created their Gods")

To Eds: the people ascribing to these religions may say that THEIR god/s exist and YOURS doesn't. So thats not really a persuasive argument.

To *Melody*: They believe in their God/s, their holy texts and theres nothing to prove them wrong either. Why do u think so many religious wars have been fought? Because both sides have a vehement and unshakable belief that they are right.

Hey James, do some more reading. Newton's Laws of Thermodynamics deal with bodies at rest or moving slowly, not the speed of light. Einsteins theory of relativity deals with this.

This link should be easily understood (even by the likes of u):

It's just like Noah's Ark. Everyone always points to the fact that all societies have a flood myth, without realizing that:

1. Every society has floods.
2. Each myth is so dissimilar, that the only thing in common is H20.

Where's the creation myth that says the universe came from a giant egg? I like that one.

Its also weird that most scientists believe the start of the universe was from a big bang which science disproves completely by Newtons first law of motion.

well...people's 'truths' are their 'truths'. there's not much you can do about it. your truth is not their truth...maybe they figure out of all those 'myths' that the christian one rings the truest to them...maybe they see it as a valid way to live and guide their life...it gets them through the day...who the hell knows...i don't see it the way they do, but no matter... just as you wouldn't be able to change someone who believes in their Aboriginal myth, or their Hindu myth. It's their truth. You may think their truth is wrong, but there is very little you will ever be able to do to change that. regardless of 'facts' and figures...

Because we believe in our God.
We believe in the Bible.
If the Bible says that that's how the earth is created, then I believe it. And there's nothing that's proved it false.
