ok i like this girl but idk if she likes me
we r in a class together
but i think she might like me because sometimes she looks at me in class

but we r both kind of shy with each other
so we only talk online
but we talked a couple of times in school

but i would prefer to ask for her number online

so what should i say

Steps

1. Start by talking to her. Don't stalk her from across the room, she might find that creepy. Be funny, but not derogatory to other people. You don't know how she'd react to that yet.
2. While talking to her, find out eg what (A)her favorite type of music is, (B) her name and (C) what she does for a living. Keep in mind that the point of the conversation isn't just to get the actual facts, but rather to have a nice conversation. If you are to interrogate someone, they only have to give you name, rank and number according to the Geneva conventions. Basically, don't interrogate - conversate.
3. Buy her a drink (non-alcoholic) and try to get her phone number and/or email address. if you can't get either, give her yours.
4. Get her to agree to a date. Without coercion. Call her to confirm the time and take her to a nice restaurant. Be sure to dress appropriately.


Tips

* Think of subjects to discuss, stories about yourself, things you want to know about her etc in advance. That way it'll be easier to avoid painful breaks in the flow of the conversation.


Warnings

* If when you first approach her, she has a distasteful or studiously blank expression on her face when she looks at you, get out of there fast. In rare cases a blank look means she likes you, but that is incredibly unlikely, suggest you politely excuse yourself.
* Don't talk about yourself too much. You did want to get to know her (well, if you didn't, you probably shouldn't be dating).
