Well Maria you don't inform us of what the promise entails but if it is something that you feel you will not be able to fulfill then you best be honest with your mom and let her know of such. But if it is something that you know full well won't cause the world to end or is not that hard then I would say be a girl of honour and keep your word to your mom, she's the only mom you'll ever have.

You don`t say what you promised but you did make a promise. If you don`t like it why did you promise. If it is that bad then talk to your Mom and explain to her. You say you love her and that she is a wonderful Mom but being over controlling. It sounds like a boy and your mother doesn`t want you getting in trouble and if so she is not overly controlling, she just cares.

Now you gotta figure out why it is you don't like it and why it is that she wants you to do it so badly and weigh the two out. Is it really that bad what she wants you to do and who would it hurt if you did it...but would it hurt her if you didn't.

Well i don't noe wat the promise is but i think u should keep it.If its important 2 ur mom u should but also remember if it can hurt someone don't keep it.
