I believe in God because:

I have seen my papaw pray over a dead person, with no vital signs, and that person came back to life.

I have seen ministers pray over my granny, who had a goiter on her neck the size of a grapefruit, and it instantly went down and never returned.

I was blind as a child, and Christian ministers prayed over me, before I believed in God, and my sight was instantly given to me.

I had a car accident where the doctor's said I broke my neck, that any movement would kill me. I [rayed to God to healp me, removed the neck & head brace when my mother was out of the room, and I am alove today.

I lost my son in 1994 and was without him for years because I had no money to fight for him, I prayed and 21 years later God gave him back to me.

I prayed and God told me my son would be a minister of God, while my son was in my belly and before he was taken from me at age 3, when I reunited with him I found out my son is a minister.

I could list more...

I believe in a God - a Creator because I was once an atheist, BIG time, and was going along merrily in life, doing my own thing, and for no concievable reason, my whole world fell apart. I was forced by circumstance to investigate "why" everything crumbled in front of my very nose ! Eventually, I began to research into the sciences of physics, bio-science and then, into history. My brother in-law is a nuclear physist and a professor began to talk and he explained the concept of a Creator to me, which he had uncovered into his research within his field of study or discipline. I came to see that the element Uranium, had a half-life then, decayed or broke down into lead [Pb]. This had me thinking that if the earth is millions of years old, why hasn't all the Uranium turned into lead by now ? I began to realize that there had to be a time or juncture where life [Creation] had to start . The NEED for a Creator then, existed. I read the Origin of the Species by Darwin, books on Haekel (embryos) etc. , etc. BUT further, research into these theories proved them wrong. ( It would require me to spend hours listing the proofs against Darwin and company; therefore, I am not going to do that here !) I was just dumb-founded and asked myself, why do the educators continue to promote the works of Darwin etc. - creation without a Creator when the evidence is scientifically anti- evolution ? I ran my findings past my brother in-law, who already knew about the things I uncovered for myself. He told me, that a lot and more was already known by scientists, contrary to the teachings of Darwin and Haekel to name a few. He went on to explain to me that although some scientists subscribe to the evolutionary theory, many do not ! Needless to say, this once dyed-in-the-wool atheist had to concede to the scientific evidence, that there is a Supreme Creator ... like it or not !!! Of course, my immediate family - all atheists, ridiculed me but could not disprove the scientific evidence I presented to them. Currently, I am a Christian and do know that true - genuine science backs or proves true - genuine Christianity !!!

Yes! All one has to do, is go outside some dark night. Look up at the stars, and ask yourself how did they get there.

The odds that the universe was created by a random series of events. Are the same as you or anyone taking a pocket watch apart. Putting all the pieces in a paper bag. Shaking the bag until the watch comes out completely reassembled!

Here's a few more. We live on a planet that rotates on its axis at more than 16 1/2 miles per second. Yet there is no sensation of movement!

Who tells the birds to fly south in the winter? Who guides them?
Who tells them how far to fly and in what direction?

Who keeps all the planets from crashing into each other?

Who placed our planet in its orbit, so that it is neither too far nor too close to the sun?

We have our Karma from previous lives but God can change that if He so desires. That gives us the impetus to believe in Him more and more. My brother was supposed to die at birth 40years ago but he didn't. He was in an explosion and the building fell to the ground killing 4 others and he was fine. He is a teacher at a high school and he decided to take the day off (which he never does) and that day students with rifles blew away many other students and teachers including the teacher he would have sat with at lunch when it happened. By brother doesn't follow any practice or scriptures and only prays when he is afraid.Though I am very fixed in my practice and it does say that a devotee of Krishna's family will even be protected. As my mother has been protected many times too.

The proof and evidence is all around you and everywhere, undeniable proof, and indisputable visible evidence. It is called creation and life. Unless your are blind, deaf, and senseless. You can see, smell, taste, hear, feel, and examine the evidence.

We live on a planet teeming with life. Plant life with approximately 250,000 species, animal life with over a million species. Scientists are learning just how complex life is. So complex that it requires design. The evidence of design requires a designer. Scientists are also learning the conditions for life; just how perfect conditions here on planet Earth are to support all this life.

The human brain, it absorbs forty megabytes per second of data while awake. That is two terabytes of data a day. At night, it sorts and stores that data through the creation of new chemical bonds and synaptic connectors.

Sure, right, this all just happened and evolved. This sort of thinking takes considerable faith, exponentially more faith than believing in a creator.

Jewel,
What you have gone thru and shared is absolutely BeAuTiFuL. I want you to know that if this earth's tilt was 6 degrees different we would never be able to survive here. If the earth was 10% closer or farther from the Sun no life would exist here. If man became a human from a single NON-LIVING ingredient he would never be here at all. GOD is the only answer to our existence on earth. To have a creation there must be a creator. If we take the parts to a simple watch and shake them in a bag they could NEVER build themselves EVER. The human body is a million times more complex than a watch and it's construction came without those parts being in a "bag". GOD is awesome! We are HIS CHILDREN. Have a great week.

God exists due to the fact that there is no other point of living if our existance only depended on our lives. I believe in God for the fact that this universe was made by God, and there are many examples of his creation all around us that people do not give him credit in doing so. Life would be meaningless without an existance of God or an after life.

not only do I believe that God exist, but I have faith in Him because whenever I am feeling down in the dumps, I know I can freely go to Him and ask for his holy spirit to help deal with any trials I face or will face head on. Also, when I go outside and see the beautiful puffy clouds & the sun warming me, I know that a far more intelligent being is responsible for these wonders.

A great testimony. God has helped me through many things and I know without a doubt that my help came from God.There`s nothing that will strengthen your faith then to believe and pray and have God show you that he`s there and he`s still on the throne.

Hallelujah! You are well blessed, sister. In a day and age when God tells that no signs will be given, to have that many miracles performed for you in your life is truly a gift the likes of which few men could even believe. I believe in this Jesus that we worship, and I do not doubt one word that you say, although not everyone here will be of the same mind. PRAISE God, for you are blessed well, sister. Love in Christ to you.
