As long as you have the receit, you should be able to get money or credit back. You would have to look on your receit to see if there are any details regarding that, because I know some stores do not allow price adjustments or givebacks after Christmas or New Years, as it is typical of most items to drop in price. But talk to a sales rep in any case, and try to convince them to go along with the price change, since you should technically be able to return the item for your money back, and then simply buy a new one.
It can get complicated if there are rules like the one above, or if there is a restocking fee, or if they won't return the itemafter so many days after Christmas, as again, many prices drop, and many people feel cheated and want some cash return as a result. Hopefully they will be compliant with your needs. Good luck.

Yes, Best Buy (as bad as thier customer service is) will give you the diffrence back. Just bring the reciept.

If they offer Price Protection, and it is within their time limit, then yes. Phone them and ask them. However, I don't think they do.....

probably just take your receipt in and ask for a sales price adjustment.....
