Sorry, everyone else on here asks stupid questions so I thought I might as well ask one! LOL! Yes, I know TONS of breed names and other words are always misspelled on here... But my pet peeve is SHEPHERD because I own, show, and breed them. I'm amazed at how many people own "Shepards"... I've never known a GSD to "ard" sheep... Nor do I know any that "hard" sheep. They HERD sheep... They are German Shepherds, Australian Shepherds, White Shepherds... Not Shepards, Shephards, Sheperds, etc. LOL

I am soooo glad I have a plain ol' easy to spell Boxer...but I feel your pain.
Now, if we can just convince the same types there is NO SUCH THING as a 'Minature Doberman' - it's a Miniature Pinscher & was developed from the German Pinscher, not the Doberman. And that Golden Retriever is a breed, Labrador Retriever is different breed that comes in YELLOW, black or chocolate - not a 'Golden Lab'.
Argh! Sorry, pet peeve venting time.

I know what you mean. Chihuahuas are my breed and it is misspelled more often than spelled right. About a week ago someone spelled it chiquaqua. Now that is really the worst spelling I have ever seen.
I am an excellent speller with very bad eyes, due to eye disease and surgeries so if I misspell something, it is most likely a typo that I missed.

Well I own two German Shedders. LOL . People can not help it they can not spell. You should just be grateful they are only mis-spelling the name. It could be worse they could be making shepadoodle or miniature and teacup shepherds.

It is rather annoying to see so many misspelled words on this site. I wonder if many people have finished school yet. People must not see the CHECK SPELLING box above the "your answer" box. Thanks for setting some people straight on mis-spelled words like shepherd.

The sad thing is, there IS a spell check option available too :)
Don't feel bad - my pet peeve is when people say library and don't pronounce the R in the middle - they say libary (lie-berry) drives me nuts! So I understand your pain lol

You think the spelling of one word is bad? How about the deplorable grammar and sentence structure? Arghhh!

I'm sure I've messed the spelling up a few times!
Fortunately, bad spelling, or lack of interest in using spell check, doesn't make us all dumb :)
Oh, and there are some words that I intentionally spell wrong, i.e. enuf, thru, tho... just my shorthand, but I know people "get it".
