The Mustang is more of an enthusiast vehicle....one that attracts a fan of the "Pony" car generation. The Audi, on the other hand, is a daily driver that goes when needed. I, personally, would by the Audi just because I am more practical that way. But if it was a second car to drive the summer, then I would go Mustang.

The Mustang would be faster with a V8. It would be easier to work on. The parts would be more plentiful and less expensive. I feel with the above choices I would go with the Mustang. To the people that responded that the Mustang is unreliable that is not true. I work for Ford and very rarely see the Mustang in for service other than pindly little trim repairs.

Go with a 2004 Ford Mustang with low miles on it. If you get a V-6 you are looking at around 10-12 k

i never had an audi but in may i got a great deal on a 2000 red mustang. low milage. runs great. passed vehicle emissions test last month... which was the whole reason i needed a dependable car.

i really like the mustang even if red isnt my color... but im finding out now that the tires do not do well in the snow

Tough call there.

An Audi is a rebadged Volkswagon Jetta/Passatt (same company makes both, look at them side by side). Great cars, but not great on resale value.

The Mustang is not great on short term resale value, but can easily be sold.

Plus, depends on what part of the country you live in: Audis are great in snow, Mustangs suck.

You can't compare a ford to an Audi. Audi all the way.

Audis are more reliable and nicer than Mustangs even though I am a fan myself. Own a 65 and I love it.
