Yes they can if you talk to your doctor and make the arrangements....If I may make a suggestion....Ask about a procedure called ESSURE. They are 2 tiny coils placed IN the tubes. It has a higher efficiency rate and is MUCH cheaper. It is considered perminate but it can be reversed if absolutly necessary. The recoop time from the coils is 1 DAY!!!! You'll already be in pain from childbirth...why add more?

Getting your tubes tied is extra severe priced and tries to opposite it are generally no longer efficient and they are no longer lined by coverage. Plus it truly is no longer 1000% precise. A ectopic being pregnant is plausible, tho no longer instantly ahead. I continually considered it this way; on the prompt you would possibly want to experience as in case you do not opt for any extra babies, yet what about 3 years from now? What if, you lose a baby? Or your toddler desires a donor? Or your marriage breaks up and your new SO desperately needs a baby. All those are unthinkable, i understand, yet they do ensue. Why do some thing so everlasting. BTW, vasectomy's are executed on an outpatient foundation. a million-2-3. lol yet, they do take in to six weeks to artwork. After having in reality one toddler and needing extra...and after staring at my neice bypass via the horrors of infertility and now adoption, i wager i'm hostile to at least some thing so everlasting. yet, it truly is no longer as a lot as us; it truly is as a lot as each and each couple to make your recommendations up what's optimal for them. Edit: getting your tubes tied isn't reveresed and no matter if it truly is reversed, it in reality works a small share of the time. Plus it truly is $$ and in no way lined by coverage.

I had my tubes tied the next day after I had my youngest daughter. I've heard women have had their done the same day, but that was if they had a c-section because you were already cut opened. If you have yours done, I would suggest you ask your doctor about it because you need to sign papers like 30 days before your due date. So make sure you ask about it soon.

If you have a c-section they can do it right after the baby is delivered. (I had that done after my twins were born). However most docs prefer to wait at least 2 weeks after a vaginal delivery before doing a tubal ligation.

make sure you are sure about your decision, but yes as long as it is not a catholic hospital. you should also ask your doc, you will not look like a dummy, so he (doc) can give you a positive or negative answer and you can get the info you need

My last doctor said she wouldn't do it in the delivery room. I found a doctor who will. Ask her/him so that they know you want it done and so you know if they will do it or not. Good luck

You have to speak to your doctor about it....Explain to him/her you are done having children and he/she can decide what is best for you. You can have it done after the baby is born but this depends on the willingness of the doctor.
