how exactly did you ask her? if you just came up to her and asked her, i can see how she might be a little put off... maybe ask her for a date, that would give her a reason to give you her number cuase how else you gonna find out what time to pick her up? Besides, even if you are shy, the worst thing she could say would be no.

hehe, maybe she's shy too...try to ask her for her email instead and start chatting on msn...she might not want a relationship right now or maybe she thinks that she doesn't know you enough, my advice become friends first. show her that you care if you really like her. well if she asks you why you want her email or her phone number or whatever, just tell her straight away that you want to talk to her, to get to know her better because she's a nice person and you would be happy to get to know her better.... don't rush into things...if she likes you too she will reply to your mails and might even call you if you start chatting... Maybe she's scared that if she gives you her phone number you might not call at all... some girls just don't like the feeling of being rejected...maybe once you get her number, you'll be too shy to call but she will be expecting you call so you better call her if she gives you her number...otherwise she will feel rejected....some girls get their heart broken over the phone..so do it slow...maybe even ask her out...it will show that you care...good Luck
hope that i've been able to help =D

It should have not be hard to answer her that you want her number to talk to her. If she doesn't want to give you her number probably she doesn't like you that much. Ask her one more time and tell her you are not gonna ask her again because it is kind of silly in this day and age that someone you know who you claim likes you gives you the third degree as of why you want her number. She doesnt give it to you? She doesnt like you 'that' way.
Good luck.

It's quite simple really. She likes you but also respects herself. Guys have a tendency to ask a girl for her number and then not call. So the next time you ask her and she replies "why", tell her that you want to program her number into your speed dial so that you dont have to waste time pushing buttons. It will break the ice and make the both of you chuckle.

Can you find it listed in the phone book? Check out the reverse directory, if you have the address you can find it.
If none of these work, do you know any of her friends who could give you it? Finally, if the phone won't work, mail her a letter asking her out on a date...let her reply by email or phone.
Good luck...

well, what would you want her # for?
There you go, you answered your own question, if she didn't give it to you, give her yours, if she didn't call, you should probably move on, or you could just be a stalker, some times it worked XD

Marvellou, when you ask her for her number, she always says, "Why?"
Well, tell her why, tell her that you want to call her and invite her out...she wants to hear it...tell her! Good luck, Marvellou!
