Hello. I have a few strange habits that I do on a daily basis... One of them is that I'll constantly touch my six front teeth with my tongue, one at a time. I'll do this until I feel satisfied that I've touched them in every possible combination, forward and backward. Another is that while reading, even if I completely understood a sentence or something, I'll go back and make sure I read every single word as it is. For example, if I read, "He put a piece of mint gum in his mouth," a few sentences later, I might go back to check if it was "inserted" or "put," even though they both basically mean the same thing. It's kinda like it has to be just perfect. Do you think this is possibly (very) mild OCD or something? Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

it's possible you have a little OCD going on, if you're concerned about it or if you find it interupting your daily life I would recommend talking to someone about it.

It could be a mild form of OCD, or not. Do you feel that you absolutely have to touch your teeth and if interrupted, do you start all over again?

I do the same as you when it comes to reading and I never even thought to associate it with OCD - I just thought that my memory is going!! lol

Then again, when I chew gum, I do need to chew it the same number of times on each side of my mouth!!

Hey I have the second habit- the "reading" one. I'd say that one is a good one because you're making sure you haven't missed out on any details. Maybe it's just that you have to have everything made sure. Or mild OCD.

This definitely sounds like OCD. I would see a psychologist or a psychiatrist (or both) as soon as possible.

Ah but if someone comes in the night and steals your front teeth. You`ll know straight away!

It sounds like you have OCD, my man. You may want to go see someone about it. I mean, you can live with it either way.
