yes after a period of time it can get mold in it, you should not keep it longer than a year

I've never had confectioner's sugar to go bad; you do need to store it in an airtight container though so damp air won't get to it. You may need to add a few drops of vanilla or other flavoring to help the flavor.

I think so because I had confectioners sugar for a long time and i used it and it tasted really bad.

It can pick up odors if not in an airtight container. If you don't have time to replace it, add some vanilla extract or orange or lemon extract or orange oil to the glaze. Might still be usable.

I have never had my sugar go bad and I keep it about a year. Make sure that it is tightly sealed. I use masking tape to keep it closed tight until I'm ready to use it again.

I taste it if I have had it for while. It will taste state if it gets old.The recipe you use it in will not be very good if it is stale but other than that it is not harmful.

if its been left open it will absorb odors, always keep it closed and/or in an air tight container
