Siberians have been known to do their share of digging, chewing, jumping, and escaping.

The Siberian Husky is an easy dog to care for. They make wonderful indoor pets because they are fastidiously clean and free from body odor and parasites. They are an easy keeper, requiring a relatively small amount of food for their size. They are very easy to train because of their high intelligence. People will often mistake the fact that they can be difficult to train as a sign of stupidity. You really need to keep the Siberian Husky interested and challenge his/her intelligence in order to properly train them.

Huskies are big, but generally they are very friendly, both to family and strangers. They don't make good guard dog for that reason. If she isn't well trained, she may try to pull when you walk her. If your family has a choke chain collar, martingale, or prong collar, this will help a lot. Huskies aren't good "off leash" dogs; if they get away from you, they tend to run and not come back, so be sure to keep a good grip on the leash. It might help to carry some treats in your pocket in case she gets excited and you need to get her attention off something, since Huskies like to chase things. Also, if she gets away, the treats might help to bring her back. Hope this helps, and have fun!

P.S. Don't forget doggie doo-doo pick up bags!

huskies are great dogs and aren't known for biting.
but, with all dogs don't stare them down looking right into a dogs eyes for a period more then a few seconds it is a challenge to a dog.

Huskies are ESCAPE ARTISTS. They love to run... and they usually don't come back. Keep a tight hold on the leash at all times. Keep your eyes on her at all times. And keep treats in your pocket, just in case.
