Shalom.
The peace of God rest on you.
I know hope deferred makes the heart sick. I have also seen people who are disappointed when they don't get what they wanted. I myself have been through this too.
As time passed by, I begun to learn about faith. I begin to realize that I believe first and then I see the manifestation. So I started to believe even when things around me were suggesting otherwise. When things aren't looking up, I believed and trusted that God is with me and I will still be cared for and whatever I lost, God will restored and much more. True enough, I witnessed that God is indeed faithful. From then on, whenever I have a need, I just go to God in prayer and have a confident expectation that He is faithful and a good opinion of Him. Life still have it's challenges but I can take heart because Jesus has overcome it all.
I hope you don't think that I am telling you that because you have no faith that is why you don't receive. Because this is not true. Why today we are able to receive good things from God even despite us not being 'perfect' or we are in the trouble of our own makings is because all along God is gracious, full of lovingkindness and His mercy endures forever. I also see that a lot of times God already answered but some of us do not see 'good' when 'good' comes. Either that some of us tried to 'help' God and end up making the situation worse.
Rest and do not worry. Cease from anxiety. Cease from thinking that God is not there. Cease from thinking that God doesn't care for you. Cease from thinking that God is not able to help you. Start resting. Start enjoying what you have right now. Start seeing that God is your provider and not your job nor career nor someone else. Start enjoying Him. In His presence, you will realize that He is your everything and you are perfectly provided for.
Shalom.

many many christians have questions like you have... gone through the same perplexing and painful experience(s). I too once prayed and prayed for God for a job - many times. There were times when the prayer was answered almost right away; other times when the job offer came from somewhere unexpected. I write modules and these things take a lot of time and effort and the pay is so irregular as you can imagine. I needed a second job - a job that ensures me a few hundred dollars a week. I prayed earnestly for such a job three years ago, and it went unanswered. I begged, I pleaded with God... but no job materialized, even though I searched and applied. I still don't know why. Yet, God has sustained me and provided for me... sometimes in the most unexpected ways!
I don't know what else to tell you but that God is good and will do good. He is worthy of our absolute trust. He'l see you through and perhaps He has something better in mind for you. Let's have the faith of poor old Job: "The Lord gives and the Lord takes away; blessed be the name of the LORD."

I am not sure anything I could say would really help you but here is a try.
Loving help of GOD
The loving help of eYshua might be a bit more complex than we realize. If we are indeed responsible in some way for our own reality then the help we seek is understanding of how things work. Therefore eYshua does not control our individual reality but teaches us how to do it. Much like a parent might teach a child to drive a car. In an emergency the parent may grab the wheel to prevent disaster but for the most part the child must learn to drive independently. Also occasionally accidents happen. While we choose to believe our reality is under complete divine control we may end up in the ditch from time to time because of our own mistakes and or sins
Obviously you have tried for a job but perhaps that is the problem. What would you do that would help others and you would enjoy doing if you were not worried about a job. Many a successful career is launched that way.
Help senior citizens in Nursing homes. Help prevent abuse 1-800-252-2412 Ombudsman Program
Pelp prevent child abuse National Casa 1888-414-CASA or email nationalcasa.org
Just two ideas. While these are not direct career paths for the most part you meet and network with people who care and then you should expect God to meet your needs. Check out Matthew 7:7-11

Ones heart has to be right with God before God will hand out His blessings to anyone. Your question appears to be filled with doubt and lack of faith. I would imagine that your prayers may be this way as well. God never promised us a perfect life, sometimes we have to go through trials in order for us to grow spiritually. Perhaps God is teaching you to trust Him, no matter how difficult the circumstance is. Perhaps God is not pleased with the way you spend His (your) money. When God makes a promise in the bible, His promise is for all generations. One such promise is that if we Tithe (Give 10% of our gross income) He will bless us financially and in all good things. Have you been Titheing Gods 10% of your wages? If not, ask God if this is what He is saying to you. If you are not Titheing, then you are stealing Gods money, how then can He bless you? You give Him 10% consistently and He will give you 100% back. You cannot outgive God. Titheing is a command from God.
Also, God does not always answer things when we think He should, He knows whats best, maybe a great job just opened up, but maybe He has a better one for you next month.
Show God your faith and start praying again. Thank Him for everything, good and bad. God is not like a four leaf clover, just pull Him out of your wallet when you need something and make a wish. God desires a personal relationship with everyone of us.
Ask yourself, how much time do you spend with God, compare that to the time you spend with friends. God is always faithful, if there is a problem in your relationship with Him, YOU need to make some changes, not God.
God wants heartfelt prayer, prayer with sincerity and even tears, these are the prayers God honors. Talk to Him as you would talk to a friend, tell Him you are sorry for your lack of faith and your unbelief that He can uphold you in any and all situations in your life. Confess your sins to him and truly ask for forgiveness.
Sin acts as a barrier between humans and God.
Forgive everybody that has done you wrong, hold no grudges and start Titheing time or money to doing Gods work.
God Bless You....Peace.

Peace!
I am really very sorry about your present situation. There are really times when God seems unconcerned with us. Jesus Christ went through the same thing in the garden of Gethsemani and on the cross.
Let me assure you, however, that God answers all prayers in a way that is best for us. We just have to be patient, sometimes it is a test.
You also have to ask yourself why you have not been able to find a job. Is there something in you that people don't like? Do you have work habits that turn people off? Do your qualifications fit the job you are looking for? Do you have to retool yourself so that you can find one? What I am saying is you might have to evaluate yourself.
I would like to recommend some books to you for study. They will help you answer the questions I just raised. The first book you should read is 'What color is your parachute?' by Richard Bolles. There is another one which will help you be more effective at what you are doing. The title is 'Seven Habits of Highly Effective People' by Dr. Stephen Covey. These books should be available in your piublic library.
God bless!

Sadly I do not want to say this but it seems as though if God doesn't do what you want Him to, when you want Him to then you don't believe He is God. This is not good. I also had went awhile without a job myself. However I did not stop praying and I did not stop believing. I know it's hard to see that God is still there for you but I do know that He is, He was for me. I just recently got a job and with the way my school schedule is and the distance I have to travel and a whole lot of other factors, this is the best possible job I could have. Yes it seems like He's not paying attention to you but believe me, I speak from experience, He's got something waiting for you. Remember He does not work on our time table. Only on His. God Bless.

Sometimes God leaves prayers unanswered. When I look back at my life, and remember some of the prayers that I prayed so hard for, I think what was I thinking?!? It all takes time. You may find a job doing something that you never would have tried had this not had happened and absolutely love it! You never know what fate has in store for you, so don't give up this early!

God answers all prayers, in His own time. If He's making you wait, He has a good reason for that. He could be teaching you patience. How patient have you been? And He answers those who believe in Him. Sounds like you've turned your back on God.
It's tough being human. It's tough trying to understand God's ways. Stop trying to understand and say "your will be done Lord." All your questions will be answered in heaven.
Paul needed physical healing. He prayed to God for relief. God's answer in so many words was my grace is good enough for you.
Accept his grace. Things could be worse. I've been praying for over a year for a dear friend. No answers yet. But I won't stop praying and I won't stop believing.

of course your upset and discouraged. when the answers don't seem to come it is natural to pull away. We begin to justify or logically try and explain to ourselves why God would not be there in our time of need. There is no christian who has not faced this at one time or another in their walk. Don't try and put logic to it or try and explain the reasons to justify the lack of answer. Just trust and know there is a reason you don't know the answer yet. Our love for God is not conditioned on the outcome of our lives. It is unconditional and this is proved by our faith in hard times. The promise is not that you will never have hard times, the promise is that you will overcome hard times with the help of our Lord. You will walk through the fires being unscorned by the flames of life. You will raise above your problems and yourself and not be over come by sorrows. There is always, always an answer. Wait for it and do not become discouraged.

The employment or profession that you worked at is not who you are,Everyone has test ,Your statement that you asked God to give you meaningful employment ,We are supposed to present
our cares and thanks to God.He wants you to love Him,when things are going "right" and when things are going "wrong",That was the whole argument ,Job is an example,(Satan says Job) "People"only serve God because God gives them what they want. You may not know what is going on right now,but rest assured God has a purpose for you, If you have confessed Jesus as Lord, and do not hate anyone,God will show you what to do,He sometimes puts His own in holding pattern, like Air Craft, that the Controller puts in holding pattern,The pilot doesn"t know why He can"t land aircraft, but Rest in fact ,the Controller has His plane on radar screen and knows exactley wher you are.
