That is a great attitude to have!! We can't make everyone we like have same feelings we may have for them!! Doesn't make either a bad person!!

I am most likely much older than you, but too many rejections to count!! But I agree, no reason to be mad or upset... I always kept in my mind how I felt when I was rejected so I always tried to be nice and respectful when I was doing the rejecting!!

Never avoid sharing your feelings with someone to avoid rejection...just try and move on if it doesn't work is the best way to live life!!

Only once, which occurred recently, but she was not clear in her intentions. It hurt a lot because it was over the phone and she seemed nervous, but didn't explain herself at all.

On the other end of the scale, I have turned down at least 3 or 4 girls that I knew had interests in me. One of them I knew was so crazy about me that she basically told every girl (and some of her guy friends) that she liked me. A few people thought I couldn't accept that she was about 20cm taller than me, but that wasn't the reason, we just didn't "click", although I thought she was very nice. She obviously didn't get the message the first time through, and it's hard to keep having to try and get the message across when that happens.

Out of every rejection heard of I think I've had the worst. I've been let down millions of times and it turned out that I liked jerks. They would pretend to like me then dump me and then play jokes on me. Others would just scream out that I was ugly. But I'm not really that bad looking. They were just really shallow. At least the people who let you down were nice about it. I was always sad and angry afterwards. I think they are to blame for my bad self-esteem.

Twice. The first time didn't end well at all, but we're still civil to each other. The second time, I let a guy friend tell him that I liked him, and I was turned down through him. We stayed friends and probably would have ended up dating if he hadn't moved that summer.

I keep getting rejected by a guy I met in a chat room 2 yrs ago . So I really can't tell you how many times. I still like him and he is still single. He keeps telling me he is not ready.

Dippy you made my day with the caculator. I needed a good laugh.

I can think of one and a half. One was an "older brother" reaction, you know, I was too much like one. The half was one of those not ready yet, things... although all too common, this was not without a just cause on her part, and we'll leave it at that.

twice, but it still hurt.

The first one hurt after the fact when she married the guy, who turned to be a wife beater
