This would only be date number two, (only the second of my entire life with anyone!!) I don't like know her family or anything. Plus I don't think i'm in the position to go to her place. She still lives with her parents.

Work with it. What can you do with a 9-month old around? Could you ditch your excellent date ideas and instead invite her and her son to your place? You could order pizza and rent a movie. After all, if you think there is any future with this girl, you will need to understand what her life is like as a parent as well. This doesn't mean you should accept this every time you make a date, but if she has been looking forward to seeing you too, she might get cold feet if the first-most important little man in her life is not included.

In short, forget romance tonight and invite her over for another kind of intimacy -- a night away from her house and parents, yet with her son. If she says no, maybe she is using the no-babysitter bit as an excuse. (Just a warning! I hope she's sincere!)

Call her. Suggest you go out together somewhere with the baby.
You'll get a lot of points with her. Insist it will be fun and that you really want to.
She'll like it a lot and like you a lot more.
