Trying to figure out the best time to buy. :D

Buy it a week or two before the superbowl from a store that will do a price adjustment if the prices go lower. That way you'd be protected if the price goes lower and you will have time to set up the TV the way you want it and not have to stress about it just before the superbowl.

Most of the time, yes. The week before Super Bowl is the busiest of the year, even beating Black Friday.

probable however the sales wont be that tremendous. the perfect television sales are round Christmas and often contained in the spring at the same time as the more recent fashions come out the late fashions will flow on sale.

They sure do. In fact I suggest taking advantage of a Mitsubishi DLP. (They a marketing quite aggressively this month). The picture quality is awsome, and video games will not hurt it. They are way cheaper than LCD's and plasma... 65" for $2200
