my father smokes and even though I DONT SMOKE and never have and never will, my hair still smells like smoke sumtimes. how can i get rid of the smell??
(im 13 and i wash my hair every evening b4 bed so that i can straighten my hair b4 skool.)

Use a hair perfume.
Or a straightening creme that smells good. (Loreal makes one, Hot Straight)..it's cheap AND protects your hair too!!
Dont use regular perume or body spray, these contain alcohol and can dry your hair out.

My mom grew up in a smoking environment, and she says there's really nothing can be done to remove the smell completely, but rubbing a sheet of fabric softener on your hair helps a little.
When my papaw lived with us for a few months, even though he smoked outside, the smell still lingered on his clothes and came in with him, so we kept a bottle of Febreze to spray on the furniture, so that the smell didn't stick to our clothes as badly. Try spraying some onto your bed everynight.
Perfume in your hair might help, too. Don't spray it directly on, spritz some into the air and let it settle on you.

Well I'd use a body spray or ask your father to smoke outside or in the garage. Then the house and hair and clothes wouldn' t smell! Hope this helped you! ;)

I'm sorry to hear your dad smokes.
First of try to convince you dad to stop smoking.
If that dosn't work, try putting a leave in conditioner in daily, so you hair smells good all day. Try Bed Head, it smells great!!
If that dosn't work try putting lemon juice in your hair, and then putting hair spray in. It will smell lemony, and not smoky.

use any good smelling shampoo for example pantene or head and shoulder which will be healthy for u r hair and give u a really good smell.then try to wrap u r hair with a simple scarf.u know how some people in asia wear them......i hope it helps.
