im looking at a 37 inch lcd hdtv but i want to know if dell makes good tvs

Dell does make Flat Panel TV's
they make good computers, so their tvs should be good too. But if i were u, i wouldnt go with a dell
A TV is a big investment and the brands that are very good (Plasma) are Panasonic, Sony, Pioneer, and a few others.
For a LCD, the best brand will be Sharp.

Believe it or not with LCD or Plasma they only have 3-4 companies that manufacture all of them! So Dell is a great choice because you will get a better warranty and service with it. I am looking at the same TV so I have done a lot of home work.

Dell does not make TV's at all. Dell SELLS TV's. Dell doesn't really MAKE anything. They just buy components from manufacturers and put them together.

Yes, they do make good tvs, but they probably don't make it themselves. For instance, they call their printers dell, but in reality they are made from the company Lexmark. But, yes they do have good quality tvs, I have one, and I did tons of hw on tvs.
