i think i have strep throat, but i dont know. i have a hoarse voice, and my throat hurts. on the first night, i had a fever. can it be strep? if it is, will it get worse if i dont go to the doc?

it could be strep throat and if it is, yes, it will get worse if you don't get antibiotics. plus it's contagious and you will get people sick if you don't get meds.
of course, it could not be strep too. it could be a variety of things. with strep throat, you typically have a fever and your tonsils are extremely swollen and often have white dots on them. sometimes a rash on the body is also found.
basically, just go to the doctor. it will take them 5 minutes to tell you whether or not you have strep. feel better!

You know when you have strep throat, your tonsils will be EXTREMELY swollen and you will have white gunk on them, it will be hard and painful to swallow. It cna be accompanied by fever and vomitting. Definately see a doctor ASAP
