some guys react to hurt feelings by calling the girl a bunch of nasty names, or by making that girl feel like they dont matter. thats just the guys way of doing to u what u do to him.

It all depends on if they're "in touch" with their feelings or not -- their age is not a factor when it comes to how they handle it. Most of the time they lash out in a totally unrelated way --- sometimes just out of the blue they'll say something really mean or a put down and they sometimes even do it in a way to rebut what you said to, in turn, make you feel bad. For instance, I mentioned to my boyfriend at the time that I had run into a classmate of mine from years ago and how great it was to see him and catch up on our lives and other things we had in common (I only told him because that's what made me a little late in coming home, where he was waiting for me) --- I guess apparently his feelings were hurt because a week or so later out of the blue he started making fun of something I do that before was charming and then he told me he just so happened to run into a girl he knew from many years ago that just so happened to live in the area now and how wonderful it was to see her - that's why he didn't make it over to my house when he was supposed to. That was a little transparent but you get the idea.
